This kit has seven LEDs that are used to display a random dice number every time the ‘start’ button is pressed. A PIC micro-controller, pre-programmed with special software controls the dice.
The ‘start’ switch mounts directly onto the board allowing it to be used as built or the dice can be housed into an enclosure.
Note: A new version 2.0 of this kit is now available using essentially the same circuit, with the microcontroller IC supplied as a surface mount component that is pre-soldered to the PCB. This gives an easier and more cost effective kit as it eliminates the need to solder the IC.
