This is the most recent version of the Kitronik Electronic Dice Project Kit, it uses seven LEDs to display a random dice value each time the start button is pressed. This new version features a surface-mount microcontroller that is pre-soldered to the PCB, removing the need for students to solder an IC by hand and making the build faster, cleaner, more reliable, and much better value for money.
The tactile start switch mounts directly to the PCB, allowing the dice to be used exactly as built or easily integrated into a custom enclosure. The project remains an ideal introduction to basic electronics, soldering skills, and microcontroller-driven outputs.
