This set comes with a pair of button switches, and multicolour light emitting diode (LED) - just what you need to start learning/teaching Python on your Raspberry Pi (available separately)!
Read and write to the GPIO pins with the provided example code. To help you identify each GPIO pin, the provided reference leaf fits neatly on the GPIO pins. The components are already soldered and insulated with jumper wire sockets to connect quickly and easily, to the Raspberry Pi pins.
The RGB LED and buttons are also available individually.
Since the Raspberry Pi is a mini computer, rather than a microcontroller board, you can later expand your code to perform more complex tasks e.g. controlling other software on the Raspberry Pi, or adding a camera to take photos.
